Pelliconi: one-third of employees take up the intrapreneurship challenge.
The first edition of Pelliconi's Intrapreneurship program launched in Atessa and Ozzano last September, in collaboration with the global open innovation platform Mind the Bridge, ends in Abruzzo. 6 projects, designed by 25 creators who have just been named "Innovation Champions", admitted to the final phase, 2 those that will be accelerated in Silicon Valley from September 5 to 8 at Mind the Bridge's Venture Studio in San Francisco, where last year the world leader in the production of crown corks opened a privileged connection point. Specifically, the 2 selected projects concern one the use of magnetic polymers in crown caps, the other the development of edible packaging. "There are no winners of an Intrapreneurship program. - commented Alberto Onetti, Chairman of Mind the Bridge - The winners are the employees of Pelliconi who accepted the challenge of getting involved and who all underwent on-the-job training on the themes of entrepreneurship and innovation, which are now more central than ever." In fact, 130 employees were involved in the program-more than a third of the italian plants' population, half of whom came from the production department: "Numbers far above the averages of similar programs run by larger companies," Onetti added. The twenty-five promoters of the six projects admitted to the final stage were named Innovation Champions. "Innovation has always been a core value for Pelliconi. From today we have 25 new Innovation Champions who will be able to give us a fundamental contribution and start an even more challenging growth path," highlighted Marco Checchi, CEO of Pelliconi. And here they are, in alphabetical order:
Alessandro Cicchetti, Angelo Di Silvio, Annabella Cusati, Beatrice Sartor, Beatrice Sieli, Cristina Militello, Daniele Zinni, Domenico Di Renzo, Fabio Fiore, Federico Morselli, Francesco Ciccarelli, Francesco Cutaio, Giuliano Febas, Leonardo Ciarmoli, Mario Del Corso, Maurizio Marca, Mauro Biagi, Michele Fattibene, Pasquale Nellim, Raffaele Morelli, Sana Aguiara, Sara Peruzzu, Simone Bergami, Stefano Capitani, Teresa Lamma. Other eligible projects included a pilot bottling line to improve the design and approval processes of new products; the valorization of waste from the crown cap production process; the recovery of compounds for a "Zero KM" industry; and the opportunity to use e-CMR to streamline logistics processes in a sustainable way. To the creators of each project born within the Intrapreneurship program that will eventually be adopted by the company, Pelliconi will recognize a share of the value created.
