Pelliconi & C. SPA has acquired Crown Cork Co. Scandinavia A/S' factory in Denmark
On May 1st, 2002 the crown cork factory in Taastrup, Denmark was taken over by the Italian closures manufacturer Pelliconi & C. SPA.

As a result of this takeover, the jobs of 40 employees were saved and the planned closure of the factory was avoided.

The plant has an entirely autonomous capacity of 3.5 billion PVC-free crowns per year with full lithography capability. The name of the new Company is Pelliconi Scandinavia A/S and will serve Pelliconi's customers in Scandinavia and certain other Northern European locations.

With the acquisition of the Taastrup plant, Pelliconi will strengthen its presence in the Nordic countries while at the same time the customers will continue to benefit from the advantages of local/regional manufacturing. This acquisition is also a further demonstration of Pelliconi's continuing commitment to the crown industry.

Pelliconi is the world's largest crown manufacturer and offers a wide range of aluminium and plastic screw closures.
