The economical and effective solution to protection against oxygen ingress when using plastic closures

Standard plastic caps are highly permeable to oxygen and allow oxygen permeation through the seal and cap body. This permeation is typically at twice the rate of that of a standard metal crown cork. 

DAPsorb PF302S-PN contains a moisture activated oxygen scavenger which has been micronised and distributed homogeneously throughout the body of the closure. Those areas in contact with the bottle contents (i.e. primarily the seal and top panel) become activated and react with oxygen before it enters the headspace which is critical to ensure maximum protection against oxidation of the package contents.

As the graph on the right demonstrates, DAPsorb PF302S-PN reduces oxygen ingress to approximately half that of a regular crown cork, or roughly a quarter that of a standard plastic cap.
